When I saw this I was quite surprised that it was acrylic, it feels very watercolored. It has nice depth and textures, and mermaids have always been a favored theme of mine!
acrylic when thinned with water is very much like watercolor, transparency is only one of the beautiful affects that can be achieved thank you Sage for stopping by and leaving your comment
When was the last time you saw the dali tuna picture? dali and his early surrealism was a jumping off point for me. after that he was clearly seduced into the Cecil B. DeMille World of BIG picture painting with little or NO substance. Much like HE signing blank pieces of paper for the endless number of prints that followed after his death.
you can be sure the Mermaid of St Lucia will not hear YOUR reference of she being compared to a common tuna. i can assure you that you would NOT appreciate her revengeful ways.
