Cornell lived on Utopia Parkway in Queens, New York. (December 24, 1903 – December 29, 1972) Today he is recognized as an artist-master of constructed boxes and a superb collagist. I approached this project as an Homage to Cornell. I still admire the mysterious qualities held within his box environments. Dealing with the difficulties encountered in this building project such as selection of materials, compositional considerations while not making a direct copy of a "Cornell" but to create an ARTwork that is purely mine.
